Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Super Dev Software LLC, which operates the PoolBeacon software and website (PoolBeacon, we, or us), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information through our website and software. It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them. PoolBeacon is based in California.
1. Our two roles
PoolBeacon handles personal information in two different roles.
- As a service provider. When an operator uploads information about their own customers (names, addresses, contact details, service locations, and visit photos), the operator is the business and controller and decides how that information is used. PoolBeacon acts only as that operator’s service provider and processes the information to provide the Service. If you are a pool owner with a question or request about your data, please contact your pool-service operator. We will help them respond.
- As a business. For an operator’s own account, billing, and support information, and for visitors to our marketing website, PoolBeacon is the business responsible under this Policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect the categories of personal information below, using the category labels from California law. The source is you, your operator (for pool-owner data), or your browser and device.
- Identifiers: name, business name, postal address, email, phone number, IP address, and login or security cookie identifiers.
- Customer records and commercial information: subscription, billing, and transaction records.
- Internet or network activity: pages viewed, features used, and analytics events on our website and in the app.
- Geolocation: service addresses and route information you enter, and coarse location estimated from an IP address.
- Visual information: photos you upload to document service visits.
- Audio information: if you enable the AI phone receptionist, call recordings or transcripts.
- Professional information: the name and role of team members an operator invites.
- Inferences: limited inferences we draw to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information beyond what is described here, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
3. How we use information
- to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service;
- to process subscriptions and payments and to prevent fraud;
- to communicate with you about your account, including service and billing messages;
- to understand how our website and product are used through aggregate, cookieless analytics;
- to measure whether an advertisement we paid for led to a signup;
- to market and promote our own service; and
- to comply with law and enforce our agreements.
5. Do Not Track and Do Not Sell or Share
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no industry standard for how to respond, but we honor it anyway: if your browser sends it, we do not load the advertising measurement tag and we do not record our own product analytics for your visit. We do not allow third parties to track your activity across other websites through our site.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have.
California law also uses the word “share,” which covers disclosing information for cross-context behavioral advertising even when no money changes hands. Our Google Ads conversion tag can meet that definition, so we treat it as sharing rather than argue about it.
To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honor it, and when it is set the advertising tag is never loaded, so nothing is shared in the first place. Global Privacy Control is available as a setting or an extension in most browsers, and it applies to every site you visit rather than only this one. You can also opt out by blocking cookies for this site.
This applies to visitors to our website. Information an operator uploads about their own customers is never used for advertising, ours or anyone else’s.
7. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
- delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise a right, email hello@poolbeacon.com with the subject Privacy Request, or use the opt-out control described above. We will verify your request using the information we have, and you may use an authorized agent. If you are a pool owner whose information an operator uploaded, please direct your request to that operator, and we will assist them as their service provider.
8. How long we keep information
We keep each category of personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, then delete or de-identify it. For example, account and profile data for the life of your subscription plus a limited wind-down period; billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires; error logs for a limited diagnostic window; and operator-uploaded customer data until the operator deletes it or leaves PoolBeacon. [Confirm the real retention schedule before launch.]
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit and at rest. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
PoolBeacon is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not sell or share the personal information of minors.
11. If you are outside California
We offer PoolBeacon across the United States. Residents of other states may have similar privacy rights under their own laws. You can use the same contact method above to make a request, and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version here with a new Last updated date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app where appropriate. We review this Policy at least once every 12 months.
13. Contact us
